[Continuation from: A Lord's Relaxation - Capua Torim]
It had been, so far, a skip in the park for Cedric with Lord Alvin's aid through the forest. They had managed to only find themselves in a few weakling battles crossing from Capua Torim to Dahngrest without stopping. A less then modest work out for the Lord.
Cedric started to hum a song as they got closer to Dahngrest's massive bridge. The sun burned the sky in ribbons of red, orange and gold by the time they had arrived.
Ah! Look at the time!
Cedric looked up at the sky then at Alvin.
Thankfully its one of our slower days today so the tavern shouldn't be too busy. Worried you'll be mobbed by the locals?
He flashed a smile at the Lord as they both walked.

The lion lord has been silent for the most part, keeping an eye out for monsters. He has his axe slung over one shoulder and ready.
"Hm? Oh, no, not really. I doubt many of the guildmembers would know my family's sigil." He smiles lightly. "And I won't tell anyone. It would cause problems."
He seems...Preoccupied.

Cedric kept walking in silence. He wasn't entirely sure what to say since Alvin didn't seem to be in a talkative mood. Upon reaching the bridge Cedric paused then glanced at Alvin.
Are you sure you're ok with going inside?
Cedric looked up with concerned eyes. His arms held onto his bag of groceries tightly.
I'm sorry if I seemed really upfront about the whole ordeal. I shouldn't have been so brash. . .

Again, the lord takes a while to respond before blinking.
"Hm? Oh. Oh! No, I'm sorry!" He flushes a tad red. "I got preoccupied in my thoughts. Please, forgive me."
He looks up at the city and smiles. "I'm fine. I'm sure no-one will know me on sight. And you weren't brash." He pauses. "If anything, I forced myself onto you. I apologise."

Cedric gave a light laugh as a response as they entered Dahngrest.
I don't think you forced yourself on me or anything I feel like it was I who was at fault, but then I get the feeling we'll just keep going back and forth like this, the banter.
Peering around, Cedric finally spotted the tavern. It was a simple two story building made like any of the other buildings in Dahngrest. It gave off a warm feeling, when it was busy. Sadly, it was indeed quieter then the other buildings, probably because no one was really inside.
Oh man, don't tell me they closed early. . .
Cedric gave a grim expression as he picked up his pace.

Alvin follows, belting his axe back on as he trails at a rather slow pace. "I thought that taverns and inns usually stayed open later." He comments. "The ones in Halure don't close at all."

Cedric, still picking up his pace, turns to look at Alvin giving an expression of "OH CRAP"
We AREN'T suppose to be closed!! We should be OPEN all the TIME. OHFORTHELOVEOFAER they probably think I'm dead again!!
Cedric bolts to the door of the tavern and rushes in. Suddenly he comes out walking backwards to look at the sign on the wall.
'OPEN'
Cedric looks back inside to the tavern filled with patrons. He turns his head to look at Alvin.
Crysis averted, everyone's just getting their second wind.
He is then suddenly splashed with ale. His eyes are clamped shut as he sighs and gestures for Alvin to come in.

And Alvin quirks a brow, and smiles to himself as he heads in after him, looking around the tavern, a light grin on the lord's face.
"Nice place you have." He's actually dropped the accent.

Cedric shakes off the ale, handing off the bag of groceries to a waitress.
Thank you, sorry if you get hit with anything, but as the tap gets lower and lower the chance of getting hit by something rises.
Cedric promptly vanishes behind the counter. He emerges some time later in clean clothes, walking up to the stage. Without a moments hesitation he starts to entertain the crowd, making an attempt to lull them into a false sense of security so that they don't throw anything. His half lidded gaze scans the room as he continues to sing.
A waitress shows Alvin to an open booth and serves him a cold glass of ale, leaving the pitcher.

Alvin settles into his seat, thanking the waitress and looking out at Cedric singing, drinking his ale moderately.
He does, however, eye some of the occupants of the tavern a tad warily, applauding Cedric as the song ends.

Cedric gives a deep bow then waltzes over to Alvin's booth, leaning on its wooden frame.
Relax Alvin, just enjoy your time here. No one is going to bother you.
With a wave of his hand, a waitress came by with glass of water and set it down for Cedric. He sat across from Alvin and smiled.
Try and let all the tension just drift away. A tavern should be a place of comfort. SO get comfortable and enjoy.
A playful smile graced his lips as he sat back in his seat.

"Easy for you to say." The lord grumbles, his green eyes still surveying the room.
He does, however, sigh and relax a tad, but not fully. There is still some tension in the man.
"You're a wonderful singer. I can only play the flute and pipes. My father taught me."

Cedric smiles calmly and chuckles as he sips his water.
Why thank you for your kind words. I also play piano as well. My. . .mother taught me so the skills are a bit melancholic to me. Maybe you'd like to go on stage and play us a tune here! I'm sure the other guys would appreciate it!
Cedric laughed through his nose in good humor. Then he closed his eyes and played with the edge of his glass.
Was your father a good man, if you don't mind my asking?

"My father..."
Alvin falls silent for a moment. "Lord Wyllis Reyne...Yes I imagine he was. He died in the Great War. He was in the knights. Hee died at Mt. Temza."

Cedric fell silent. He leaned against the table now.
Mt. Temza? I think my father has been there. . .I'm sorry to hear he passed on, but he died for his country right? I wish my father was a bit more bold now, but I can't hold it against him.
Cedric waved for a waitress, whispering in her ear and then returning to his glass of water which he promptly finished. In its place the glass was replaced with a small glass of whiskey which Cedric picked up and swirled it in the glass.
My mother died during the Great War. Not directly, it was just a bandit looking for money or. . .something. That's how I lost my voice. My mother. . .my dear sweet mother. . .
Cedric takes a large gulp of his drink then sighs.
