[Yeager]

You must try harder if you're going to hide things from him. Hmm, you could put it in my room--he knows he's not allowed in there. [puts the peas into a bowl and sets it in the oven, then resumes stirring the sauce]

[Flynn//Gauche]

He knows, but he still does. I've seen him in your room several times... [lingers between the two before she just sits down. She isn't the best in when it comes to cooking meals]

[Yeager]

[frowns] It'd make it less likely for him to find it, at any rate. ...Do you happen to know what he was doing in my room at those times?

[Flynn//Gauche]

... [shakes head] I don't know. He looked too happy about it, though. And he went in with a screwdriver once. He kept laughing...

[Yeager]

[still frowning, somehow knowing exactly what Zagi was up to] I told him he wasn't allowed to borrow the scope from the Gause 23 after he broke that other one. I'm going to need to speak to him about that--that one is worth at least five thousand gald.

[Flynn//Gauche]

He broke... a scope? [pauses and considers this. It is ZAGI they're talking about but... doesn't that go on top of the gun?] How did he manage that? [She can't help but be curious. Some of the things Zagi manages to do are fairly impressive. If not concerning.]

[Yeager]

[matter-of-factly] He had it on a rifle that he dropped when a knight tried to take it away from him in Capua Nor. The lens shattered. [sighs] I swear I cannot take him anywhere without trouble.

[Flynn//Gauche]

You should consider a muzzle. [small smile, that mental image is pretty amusing.] And a harness. It'd make it easier for us when we took him on walks... We could even get him fake puppy years. That would be cute.

[Yeager]

Mm, the harness I have thought about, but I think it would invoke too many stares. And it would not be good for others to think that I have a henchman I cannot control.

[Flynn//Gauche]

...Maybe we should just lock him in a room. [smiles faintly] Or maybe drug his food so he calms down. I don't think it's healthy for him to have that much energy.

[Yeager]

I used to slip sedatives into his dinner around the time I first got him. He has gotten a lot better than he used to be, though. I think we just need to keep training him how to behave. [he peers into the oven, then removes the peas. Droite meanwhile has been frying the meat, and he turns it over with a fork to check if it's done yet. Hmm, maybe another minute.]

[Flynn//Gauche]

...He was worse? [makes a face, it's hard for her to imagine worse] I can only imagine.

[When the peas are taken out of the oven, she eyes them unhappily. She really, really does not want to eat those. Not one bit. But Yeager did ask her to and... ngh, she really does not want.] ...Are you sure we can't have fruit instead?

[Yeager]

He was practically brought up as an attack animal, you know. He had to learn how to obey requests that weren't yelled orders. I did find that simply giving him things to occupy himself with helped--I think most of the time he was left without any mental stimulation between jobs. It must have been awful for him.

[chuckles] Ja, I am sure. I want you to be healthy.

[Flynn//Gauche]

[frowns, her tone disapproving] It sounds like he was treated like an abused animal. How could anyone be so careless when they realised how unstable he was getting...?

[makes a face and gives the peas another dark look] Fruit makes you perfectly healthy. There is no need for vegetables; that's what vitamins before. [however, her protests are done and she stands up, taking the peas which she carefully serves to each plate]

[Yeager]

A lot of those smaller mercenary guilds are very barbaric. So long as he didn't turn on them or make too many messes, they were fine with his mental state deteriorating that badly. At least Blood Alliance gave him some stealth training, so he wasn't as constantly loud and obnoxious as he could have been...

[Turns the meat over again, then decides it's done. He places it on a plate and pours the sauce over the pieces, adding a smidgen of seasoning and setting it on the table.] Are you going to pick those strawberries, Gauche?
