Look Who's Back - Zaphias [Finas and Yeager]

[Evening is settling in across Zaphias as Yeager makes his way back towards his hotel, briefcase in hand. He's dressed in a tailored black suit and has his hair spiked less than usual, looking more noble than guildsman, as he had been meeting with one of his wealthy noble clients. The man finally settled on his specifications for a custom bow, thank goodness, and Yeager is feeling pretty self-satisfied with the completed contract.

He's a bit lost in his own thoughts for a moment, not really expecting to run into anyone at this hour...]

[Finas is wandering the twilight streets. It had taken some persuading, but he had managed to get his old position in the Knights back. It was all so confusing! One minute, he was fighting monsters in the Great War. The next? He was waking up in Mantaic, ten years later, being healed by his own son!

Distracted by his own thoughts, the knight doesn't notice someone around the corner and walks straight into them]

Oh!! Damn...I-I'm sorry, sir...Are you okay?

[Yeager]

[Yeager staggers a bit but rights himself quickly, a look of brief annoyance flashing across his features before his standard smile returns, apologetic.] No no, I'm sorry, I must have not been watching. I'm fine. [That face looks...somewhat familiar. Not someone he can recall seeing recently, he knows, but...]

Ah, that's good...

[And he frowns lighty. Finas has the same look. He remembers seeing this suspiciously flamboyant person before...]

Say, have we met before? You look very familiar.

[Yeager]

[Then the suspicion is mutual. The man doesn't look like any of his old clients, though. Which meant he could possibly be someone who might have him arrested, but Yeager's memory was usually good regarding those knights...]

Perhaps. [offers a hand] I'm Yeager.

...Yeager...

[Finas pauses for a moment, before taking his hand.]

Captain Finas Scifo.

[He says, without thinking.]

[Yeager]

[Yeager raises an eyebrow. Alright, that definitely does not make sense. But this man does so look like how he remembers Finas.]

Finas Scifo..?

[Finas//Alvin [Blaze001]]

Uh...Yes.

[This was seeming /awfully/ suspicious.]

Have we met before?

[Yeager]

I knew a Finas Scifo many years ago. Before his death.

Yeager von Kunze?

[His brain finally kicks in.]

You are...were in the knights, correct?

[This is crazy. First Flynn and now Yeager? Who next? Nylen Fedrock?!]

You look...Different.

[Yeager]

[Blinks. Whoa, he hasn't heard that name in a while. Maybe this...maybe this is Finas, though he can't imagine how he'd still be alive.]

I was. But I am Yeager of Leviathan's Claw, now. ...Finas, I heard you were killed.

[Finas//Alvin [Blaze001]]

[The knight shrugs]

I've heard the sa....

[He pauses, blinking.]

Did you say Leviathan's Claw?

[Yeager]

Ja, Leviathan's Claw. We specialize in selling small arms and hoplon. [brow furrowed] Then where have you been for the past ten years?

[Finas has a slight suspicious glint to his green eyes]

We do not know that. I was fighting outside of Halure. Monsters were attacking the town. Next thing I knew, I woke up in Mantaic.

[He changes the topic.]

So. Leviathan's Claw. I take it that business has you out this late?

[Yeager]

Hmm. [Well, he's pretty sure that Finas is hiding something, as unsatisfying as that explanation is. So he's going to be a bit dodgy, himself.]

I was just out visiting a friend. There are a few people I still keep in contact with from the knights. Though, I must be heading back soon--I have some business matters to attend to in Capua Torim. [gestures to his briefcase, offering the latter remark as explanation for it]
