I have no idea - Near Egothor's River - Open

[Duke]

[ If anyone wanders around one of the river nearby Egothor forest, that one that crosses through it, they may come across a rather sodden looking Duke, standing in the river with his coat over a branch next to his gloves and boots.

Whatever he's doing in the river, he's rather intent on the water. ]

[Garista]

*Oops, Garista has stumbled upon Duke, a confused expression on his face as he looks around for... Well, anything really. He's not too familiar with the area and who is that?*

What exactly are you doing? *He walks to the riverbed, standing on the edge so as not to get wet and watching the man curiously.*

[Duke]

[ A glance over his shoulder. Someone else with long hair, that much is obvious, but back to the river and a splash.

When Duke straightens again, he's got a wriggling fish. There's at least part of your answer, Garista. ]

[Garista]

*He blinks, confused obviously. Fishing with his bare hands.*

You have no fishing rod? *A tilt of his head as he shifted his weight lightly.*

[Duke]

[ Fishing rod? A blank stare as the fish continues to wriggle. ]

Why would I need such a thing? [ Don't mind Duke, he's going to head over toward where some of his clothes are hanging with his fish. ]

[Garista]

*He paused a moment, trying to figure out the odd man as he watched him.*

Namely for fishing. It makes it easier. *Supposedly. Garista himself had only ever read about fishing. He'd never had time before to actually try it.*

[Duke]

... I can catch fish this way, why would I have a need of an aid? [ And Duke's out of the river, and drops his slightly wriggling fish on a handful of leaves and quickly gathers tinder. ]

[Garista]

*Garista watched him a moment, confused, but intrigued. It wasn't like he was about to try. With his luck, he could slip and fall into the river and knock himself out or something. Nope, he was going to investigate the man instead.*

Most people use fishing rods. Why do you use your hands?

[Duke]

.... I do not have one. [ And don't mind him as he starts gutting his fish. ]

[Garista]

*Garista doesn't seem to mind.*

So you're simply not using one because you do not have one? Or is it because you do not know how?

[Duke]

...... I have not learned. [ So, both. And he's starting that fire now, barefoot and dripping and only absently paying attention to Garista. ]

[Garista]

Ah. Would you care to? *Why was he asking this? Not like it was going to teach this odd man how to fish. He himself didn't know. Plus he didn't know this man, though he had to admit he was... Oddly interesting, given his currently odd habits.*

[Duke]

. . . . . [ Duke glances vaguely confusedly at Garista. ]

I do not have one. How would I learn.

[Garista]

You could acquire one, I suppose. *Logic. Does this man have none?*

[Duke]

. . . . . "acquire". [ Does he look like he has money? Okay, don't answer that. He's cooking his ... lunch/dinner/fish now. ]

I have no intention of stealing again...
