[Hmm, Yeager's attempts at conversation aren't eliciting much response. He can tell that Garista has something weighing on his mind--probably related to whoever Garista's enemies are, he thinks. Judging by Garista's self-professed lack of affiliation and the fact that he used to work for the empire, Yeager suspects he rubbed the knights the wrong way. How, he doesn't know. He did, however, perceive that Garista hadn't bothered to provide a false name--he's faced enough liars in the past, and Garista, though shifty, didn't exhibit any of the telltale signs. Maybe next time he's in Zaphias, he'll charm his way into the archives and look that name up.]
It certainly seems that way. Well, on the bright side, it's good to have a conflict now and then. Helps business.
I suppose it doesn't matter to you so long as you can do your research in peace?

I suppose. Many people enjoy conflict and others like yourself make profit off of it. *Garista snuck a peak at the windows. He was feeling a bit anxious. When would they arrive at the city? Much as the man wasn't terribly threatening, Garista didn't feel safe enough anywhere right now, much less with a stranger.
He settled back in and thought at the question.*
That's a good way of putting it, yes. *a light nod.*

Better to make use of it than to get caught up in it, I think. Or, if that's impossible, it's better to stay out altogether. I'm fond of war insofar as I don't have to take a side.
[Luckily for Garista's nerves, it isn't long after that that they finally pull up to Dahngrest's border. The guard gets out and offers up Yeager's identification to a man stationed there, and without further questions he allows the carriage through. Yeager passes a brief message to the guard, who tells it to the driver, and they travel for a minute or two more to one of the coach stations, since Garista mentioned wanting to head out to Torim and all.]
It seems this is it, Mr. Luodur. Nice meeting you.
[Yeager reaches into his suit jacket and produces a small white business card that lists his name, business and the location of Leviathan's Claw headquarters in Dahngrest, handing it over to Garista.]
My job offer still stands, should you like to take it up.

*As they near the guards, Garista shifts a bit in his seat to try to apparently make himself invisible. The empire nor the guilds would recognize him, but he couldn't help the trepidation.
He looked around as they arrived in the city, then back to Yeager as he held out the card. He nodded, and stood, slightly crouched with the ceiling. He took the card and stepped out, unsure. He turned back to Yeager.*
Thank you, Yeager. I'll consider it.
*Actually, he's considering booking it. He'd need to find a way to get his bearings fast. Pulling a disappearing act should be easy given the lack of people who knew he was alive. Much as he wanted to trust Yeager and take him up on the offer, there were too many unknowns about Yeager and the business and Garista's status to try to accept the offer.
Once he was out, he offered a respectful nod of his head.*
Until next time. *If there was one*
