Flame me if this is wrong. I told you I'd think of a way to get Alvin in here!
Name: Alvin Reyne, Lord of House Reyne of Halure. [AKA The Flaming Lion of the North]
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Height: 6'2
Weight: 277lbs
Appearance: Alvin is tall, powerfully built and quite noble looking. Well, he is a lord, after all. He stands 6'2", sandy-blond hair and glinting green eyes. He usually wears clothing of blue leather, steel armour and a silver cloak, bearing the crimson rampant lion of his house, the same sigil on his breastplate.
Alvin is handsome. He's always smiling politely, a beard running along his chin from his sideburns, his hair pushed back to give him a slightly leonine look.
The lord weilds either a sword or an axe. The axe is an old family memento from his great-great-grandfather, whereas the sword is a more recent purchase. The axe is plain steel, with a varnished wooden handle. The weapon has been kept immaculate due to its sentimental value.
Likes:
Training: If there is anything Alvin loves, its keeping his combat skills up. The lord is quite proficiant in most combat techniques, and likes to keep those skills honed.
Hiking: He loves the outdoors, tending to going hiking in the woods nearby, or even outside the barrier (with a contingent of guards).
Wildlife: Alvin likes any and all animals, and shows pity on those wounded, even if they are monsters. This pity ends if they attack first, however.
Dislikes:
Prejudice: If there is one thing Alvin hates, it's people assuming things about him, or others, because of their station in life
War: Despite having a penchant for tournaments, sparring and the like, Alvin abhors war and battling for the sake of it. He will, however, fight for the protection of his family and friends, and for his own honour, should it come to that.
Laziness: Alvin is a very active person. He cannot stand watching someone waste their lives, or the lives of anyone else due to their own laziness.
Corruption: Despite being a noble, Alvin does not give in to lawbreakers or corrupt nobles. He is of the opinion that if you have to give in to temptation, you should not hold power.
Strengths:
Combat: Alvin, from being a very young age, has been trained in both offensive and defensive combat, and has become very proficient.
Dual-Wielding: Although he usually sticks with one weapon, Alvin has learned how to dual-wield his weapons.
Multi-Weapon Skills: Alvin can wield both axes and swords, though tends to rely more on his axe.
Tank: Alvin boasts high physical defence and tends to wear thick plate armour.
Defence Breaker: Alvin boasts a high physical attack, and hammers on enemy defences until they break.
Noble Upbringing (Strength): Being born a noble, and current head of a lordly house, Alvin receives all the boons and respect that comes with it.
Cooking: Despite being of a high noble birth, Alvin is a good cook. He generally prefers rich stews and such, preferring meat-based dishes over vegetable.
Weaknesses:
Protecting People: Alvin is fiercely proctective of his friends, family, and even those serving under him. This is perhaps one way of exploiting the lord
Magical Vulunerability: Alvin is particularily suseptible to magical attacks.
Not-A-Mage: While still being able to cast a few spells, Alvin isn't adept enough to put enough power into them. Thus, his casting time is doubled and the strength halved.
Noble Upbringing (Weakness): Being a noble in the Empire isn't easy at times. Alvin has to put up with being grouped into the same arena as the corrupt nobles. Alvin suffers prejudice as much as the next man.
Alcoholism: Alvin can get quite rowdy when drunk, and often-times does not remember. This doesn't, however, mean he stops drinking as often as he can.
Bloodlust Berzerker: Once Alvin gets going, he can easily lose himself in rage and bloodlust, becoming uncontrollable and hard to calm.
Elemental Weakness [Water]: Since his artes and blastia are mostly aligned to fire, Alvin has an inherent elemental weakness to Water.
Stubbornness: Alvin can be stubborn, to a fault. He often bulls his way into situations once he becomes latched onto one train of thought, often getting himself into trouble.
Personality: Alvin is an easy-going person, but can become uncontrollable when angered. He was born and raised a noble, so can come off as snobbish at times, but is generally relaxed and easy to get along with. If there is one thing that annoys him, it's people presuming things. Nothing else triggers this reaction from the lord, except when his friends, family and servants are in danger. He's a flirt, but knows that there is a time and a place to try and woo the ladies. He's generally successful in his exploits to secure girls, mainly due to the fact he's rather charming and his noble birth is quite appealing to some. Being rich, Alvin is not miserly with his gald, preferring to share it, if it will help, than hoarde it all.
Alvin seems more relaxed when he is around close friends and family, although he has few of the former and even less of the latter. Otherwise, the man is polite and friendly, but there is a certain tension around people he has just met.
It usually takes some specific slight to anger Alvin. Being a noble, he can handle the general waspish gossip and snide comments, being able to give as good as he gets.
If anyone blatantly attacks his intentions, honour or personality, especially without knowing him well, Alvin defends himself, often over-reacting to the comments made.
Alvin often has attacks of blind rage and bloodlust. Whilst often only triggered on the field of battle, There is a certain track record of the Lord suddenly attacking people who intentionally annoy and anger him.
Despite this, the only way to get on the man's bad side is to intentionally do so. Alvin is well-suited to harmless banter between nobles and commoners alike.
Being friendly and approachable has gained the trust of the people who serve him, which is often seen as blind loyalty, and is often used as a weapon against him.
Stubbornness is a known problem amongst House Reyne, and can even be seen as being a tad nosy. Alvin constantly butts into conversations if he hears people being exploited, and, once he gets an idea into his head, its hard to dislodge it. This is mostly from his noble upbringing, being from a rich family, Alvin was denied little as a child, however, instead of using it to exploit people to get what he wants, Alvin only wishes to help people.
This, however, has, understandably, caused some issues where his help was not wanted. Either because its a private matter, or people just do not trust him. It has not dissuaded him, however.
History: Lord Alvin of House Reyne is the latest in the long line of Reynes who lived in a nondisclosed city in the north. After it was destroyed during the Great War, his family, now with Alvin at the head, moved to Halure. Alvin was brought up a typical noble, but always showed kindness to those around him. From an early age, he was trained in combat, mostly to defend himself and his people, but never joined the Imperial Knights like most of his other family members.
Alvin was 17 during the Great War, his father, Lord Wyllis Reyne, left to go fight. It was during a battle in the war that he lost his father and became head of the house. A few months after, his town was attacked, forcing them to move south to Halure, where there was a stronger barrier.
Alvin has grown up to be a kind-hearted noble, who hates to see people suffer. He likes animals as much as people, and has even been seen to talk to them, though these rumours were quickly quashed.
