Original Character Application [WIP]

I figured I'd put this here now, I have to start packing up my computer and stuff. Still needs some work I believe when I was invited it said I could use an Original Character. I want to add more strengths and weaknesses that are personality base. The thing with that is a personality can be a strength and/or a weakness depending on how you look at it.

Strengths:
-Magic Knight.
-Can read a person's nature.
-Fairly good detective memory.
-Knows how to cook
Weaknesses:
-Has a naturally weak body giving a 7% chance of Fainting When Casting Magic Arts.
-50% of Fainting after performing a Mystic/Burst Art.
-Doesn’t get along with most people.
-Cares a little too much at times.
-Doesn't know when to stop.
-Distracted by cute things.

Personality: Neara is mean, almost in a Tsun type of way. Doesn’t socialize often. He tends to be enigmatic, but not emo. Neara has a good hearted nature trying to do the right thing, but sometimes what people know is right isn't always appreciated by them. Tends to hide his good nature and never bothers to explain herself to those who are not even willing to reason.
When with His Master/teacher Neara tends to act kind, obedient, and respect full. He tends to act like a lost puppy around his teacher following him everywhere.

Alright, first and foremost, please do not take this as a flame. I'm not at all trying to bash your character by any means. They have a unique and interesting history, not something I've seen before when reviewing a profile. I do owe you an apology because I was not clear on the OC rules, and I didn't think to add them.

However, most of your profile seems to hold a very important tie to elements and spells that existed in the world of Symphonia. Kratos, who seems to play a large part in your profile, was not actually a "canon" character in Vesperia, which this board is based off of. He was a special boss at most, and technically not supposed to be someone playable on the board.

Since we're trying to avoid the cross-overs, there are a few easy ways to change this around with minimal work. These are my suggestions:

- Change it around so that it's not Kratos who is teaching your character, but someone else. He could simply be a wise mage that was forsaken by the people around him (or perhaps he lives in the same village as Duke--that would work out the strange isolation idea and he could also be found in the desert which still would require saving.) This would also require a changing of the last name. Just the last one.

- Instead of angelic artes, light spells or healing artes would prove just as unusual. It seems that healing artes and light spells are fairly unique in the game. If I remember correctly, only the knights and Estellise knew them. (And then some higher level monsters and a smaaaall handful of people who knew them in the guilds, but all those people were originally knights. Still, high-level healters are a big deal in Vesperia.)

- Your appearance does not need to change, but just as a note, I'm fairly sure a sword by the name of "Flamberge" does appear in Vesperia. There's no need to worry about explaining that. [If you implied Kratos had given your character that sword, it would go against him having given it to Lloyd. Vesperia is supposed to take place "after" Symphonia.)

Don't worry, I hardly consider that Flaming.
I already figured I was laying the Kratos thing too thick. I have about two other back stories that I can use for this character already; I just need to put it in writing.
I'll also see about changing the arts around. I just need to try and remember the more powerful spells, because I'm trying to go for a powerful character that has serious repercussion.
And Flamberge is in ToV equitable to Yuri/Flynn. I you acquire it through Synthesis. And Kratos did give his to Lloyd so I did note crafted. Also do you have any suggestions for a name?
Neará Theíos Aurion basically means Young Divine Morning.

Names are fairly open, honestly. I always find when I want names for a character, it's easiest to look up name websites by origin. (Meaning google: "Japanese First/Last Names" or something similar). That usually helps you get a lot of ideas.

As for Flamberge, it IS a synthesis item Vesperia so there isn't a huge issue there, just try not to make it out to be "one of a kind" since anyone /could/ technically make it themselves.
