People collect things for interest, for hobbies, and for just general knowledge. Recently, a mansion far back in the distant woods of America, has collected enough knowledge in books in paintings, who wishes for the nations themselves, to come and see his expansive library and gallery. The library having over thousands of books, and the gallery holding more than a good few hundred paintings.
However, it's not like it seems. Science or Magic, no one knows, they are sucked into the books and paintings to relive that event. From war stories to the children books they saw written, everything is being played out for them. Stuck in the mansion, the owner continuously leaves them clues and keys to find secret parts of the mansion. The owner has left them all a message wanting them to learn from the past, and the stories he has collected.
"It's time for the nations to learn. I cannot teach trillions upon trillions of people...but I can teach the nations who I've discovered represent us, to keep from going down the wrong path. I've lived a long time collecting these words. Now it's time for you to read them, and live them, whether you like it or not. I'm not a cruel man. I want my children, my grandchildren, and their children and grandchildren to live happily."
The nations are of course taken care of in this massive mansion, but the owner has warned repeatedly, never go alone, and always remember the way back to the entrance hall. The mansion spawns over many acres, and it is easy to get lost in the maze like house. If you aren't careful, you will be lost forever. They are trapped inside, if only until they learn. He promises that they will not be trapped in forever, but the quicker they learn, the faster they get out.
In books, in ordinary items, in shadows, and in plain sight, there are clues that lead to keys hidden all over the mansion. These keys lead to the familiar secrets of the mansion, that may get them closer to the outside, or to learn about themselves.
"I love my country. I love your country. I love the people. I love the words. I love the languages. I hate war. I hate the blood shed. I hate the loss of beautiful lives. I don't know if this will help. I don't know if all the things I've collected and I will put you through will help. I'm not all knowing. You can only learn if you wish. I plead, beg, please listen to these words. All these cries of your people mean something. Don't they?"
