Appearance: Because of the rough life in the lower quater, along with lack of food at some points, Yuri is skinny and has very lean muscles. He is by no means buff but he can take on anyone twice his size.
Likes:
Fighting: Flynn once said that the only time he sees Yuri truly happy is when he's fighting. He loves a challenge. He doesn't neccessairly look for for fights, but when he's in one he goes all out and enjoys himself if he manages to break a sweat and beat a tough opponent...though he feels a bit lonely after since it was defeated and there isn't another.
Sweets: Anything with sugar, Yuri loves. Although he doesn't hate any food (even dog food) he loves anything sweet hands down. As long as it's not one of Flynn's cooking ideas.
Helping People: He'd rather get himself hurt and almost killed (Which has happened way too many times to count already) then see someone else get hurt. He had watched enough people being attacked in the lower quarter and not being able to do anythign when he was younger so he made sure to put a stop to it as soon as he could. Though he hates being thanked for them, he'll do anythign in his power to help people evenif he has to be sneaky, or even if he has to kill a slimey bastard to do it.
Dislikes:
Nobles: Besides a certain pink haried princess and her cousin, Yuri normally detests nobles. They're, rich snobby,self centered bastards that only care for themselves. They flaunt their money while leaving the lower quarter in ruins. Yuri always takes any opportunity to get back at them whether it pickpocketing, taunting or getting in a fight with a nobles son.
Corruption: Beign from the lower quarter, Yuri has seen knights flaunt their power and use it to help themselves and to hurt the people he's cared for. He can't stand it when someone sho deserves to be punished for a crime that they had commited, and walk off scot free. Yuri has made sure on many occasions they have gotten what they've deserved, and doesn't regret getting his hands dirrty in the process.
Flynn's Mother Henning: He is unstoppable. Yes he's Yuri's best friends but he also worries too much, and he takes an extra leap when it comes to Yuri doing anything overly dangerous.
Flynn's Cooking: Well, when he gets in those experiment moods. He loves it when he follows the recipe, there's nothing like it, but when he decides to put spices in pudding, he'd rather be busy on that night then to eat. He'll still eat it though. It's a mystery why Yuri's alive still.
Strengths:
Cooking: Yuri is an exceelent cook. The top one in the party (Until Patty comes alongmary-sue) His best dish is croquettes. He learnthow to cook from the innlady and throughout the journey, found many recipes and mastered them all. Estelle even tried to convince him of being a royal chef. He refused (He didn't want his hair cut)
Swordsmanship: Yuri is an acorbat too put it more lightly. He can alternate between hands in mid swing for combos, changes the angle of his sword at will and even can kick his sword back into his hand and continue on like it was nothing. Though Flynn has beaten him plently of times in the past, Yuri still has his style and can beat many people that were though unbeatable.
Weaknesses:
Sweets(Again): Complete and utter weakness of his, he enjoys them throughly. Maybe because it was such a rarity in the lower quarter, but he has a big sweet tooth and can't say no to anything sugar. He especially loves crepes and cakes. Raven's crepes are the best as well.
Cat Ears: Not sure how this one started, but Yuri has a small cat ear fetish, blushing when Rita wears her kitty cat waitress outfit he can't seem to bring himself to look at her for fear of doing something he might regret.
Friends: If anythgin were to happen to anyone he cared about, Yuri woud be willing to do anything for their safety. Maning if one was hed hostage he would do whatever it takes to get them back. His friends are very close to him and he never wants any harm to come to them so he makes sure ther alright. As much as he hides it.
Personality: Normally the first time you would meet Yuri, you'll find him rather sarcastic, uncaring and in general a bit of a jerk. And, to a certain extent, he is one. But, if you were to meet many of his friends that have known him for a while, they'll tell you he's helpful, caring and like an older brother to a lot of people. Which one is right? Well, both.
Much of his personality comes from his upbringing from being raised in the lower quarter, the slums, of the capital of his world. He learned to distrust nobles very early on and tends to be a little biased towards them, except for ones that he has come to know and trust, or ones that don't normally fit the spoiled, fat, ignorant nobles tag that flocks the upper class. Even when he's around others that are of 'higher rank' then him, he normally talks to them as if there was no title.
Yuri tends to hide away most of his real thoughts, emotions, fears and worries behind a carefree, laid back mask that rarely comes off. Though, in reality he is a very caring person and doesn't hesitate to help those in need, going so far as to put himself in danger and taking the pain onto himself rather then the other. he also has a strong sense of justice, believing that people should be punished for their deeds, rank or not. Because of the corruption that's high in the knights and nobility, Yuri takes the role of justice many times when he feels it necessary, especially if the person was left off the hook. Yuri would rather be labeled a traitor and murderer then let many people walk free to do anything they wish.
He enjoys teasing people, and has a habit of doing it in whenever he can, sometimes handing out nicknames to help along with the teasing, or just in case the name is more then three syllables. Friends are more likely to get more decent nicnknames then people who annoy him (Tweedle A and Tweedle B)
He tends to not like being thanked for anything that he's done. Anything. Be it helping someone kill a monster or saving the entire world. He'd rather give the credit to someone (Flynn) who would do something more with it, thinking that he shouldn't be the hero in a lot of peoples books. As much of it being an annoyance to a few others. In short, Yuri is fiercely loyal to his friends and to those he thinks are family and would do anything to help a person in danger right in front of him. As much of a jerk he is, he's also a pretty good guy.

Meanwhile, Yuri began to cause hell like before, even pickpocketing some rich looking people to give to the lower quarter people, he began to help Hanks and the inn keepers more, staying more and more at Hanks place as he grew older as less people could help to feed an extra mouth. By the time Yuri was 15, he was able to get into more fights and protect the lower quarter, though it was barely anything besides a few fistfights and rock throwing for which he was heavily scolded for.
When he turned 17 and was fighting off another rag tag bunch who were hurting someone, Yuri told Hanks that he was joining the knights to help people out and to get money and he signs up. Only to find that his best friend Flynn is along for the ride and going off to the same place as he was. At first, he was excited, but then as he saw Flynn had changed from the rascal that raised more hell then he could to someone with a pole up his ass, Yuri became more and more irritated about him and lashed at him any chance he could. He still cared for him and helped out when he could, but he missed the old Flynn more then this one.
At first Yuri believed the knights was an easy thingto get moeny and use his energy, but shortly afterwards, the aer monster showed up and caused him to kill Repede's father, Lambert, when it got possessed. This made Yuri think things thorugh more as he began to take care of the puppy better, and jumping off the handle when Flynn returns from his escapade. He respects Nylen's decision to go to the castle and argues with Flynn one last time about their ideals and what should happen before they leave off for the castle. Yuri tried to save the captain but he was given his bodhi blastia and they returned captainless back to the city, only to find out who was behind all of this, Yuri following Flynn's lead and goign to put an and to this. They began to fight Garista.
As he saw Flynn get ready to kill Garista, Yuri jumped up first and killed him. A few days after, Yuri resigned from the kngiths, taking Repede with him, and leaving Flynn on a better note then they've had in a long time. And Yuri returned to Zaphias.
The next few years, Yuri uses his new found sword, dog, and money to wreck even more havoc on the knights when they come by to harass people. He gives most of his money for emergencies like medicine and food. Since he didn't want to harbour Hanks anymore by staying wih him, Yuri stays at the inn, having nowhere else to go.
When Fynn returns to Zaphias, Yuri and him start up their friendship again as best as they could. Though still strained Yuri took extra time to try and visit him at te barracks and all that. Even finding him when Repede was hurt and they both took care of him after the Big Boss fight, Repede receiving only that scar from the fight thanks to both their care.
Though Yuri doesn't get another job like the kngihts, he helped out a lot at the inn for free room and food. He was an excellent server though he will deny it. He also helped out by looking after a few kids, fixed anything that needed to be, and kept the knights and any kinda of fight at bay.
