History - Keiv Moc [ Duke and Yeager ]

[Duke]

[ If Duke wants to be less noticed he should find clothes that aren't red and black and do something about his long white hair when he travels. Red, black, and white don't blend into greens and browns too well, but Duke's just heading deeper into the forest of Keiv Moc with no care to who spots him.

A pool and a glowing tree are his destination, and he's going to stare at the lights within it. ]

[Yeager]

[Yeager's been curious about Duke since they last spoke and asked a few of his contacts to keep an eye out for someone of his description. A few tips later, he's on his way through the woods, carrying only concealed weapons this time. As he spots Duke up ahead, he waves]

Sir! Excuse me--if I might have a word with you--

[Duke]

[ A blink away from the light of the Aer Krene. The blue one? He didn't seem out for a hunt this time, but that doesn't make Duke any less wary. He doesn't turn and leave, but no wave back or indication that he'll even really talk. ]

[Yeager]

[He approaches Duke anyhow, a bit cautiously as he gets close]

I would like to ask you some questions, if you don't mind. Just out of curiosity.

[Duke]

[ Just more watching. ]


... Ask what you will. [ an unsaid indication that he might not answer. ]

[Yeager]

So how is it that you know about Raven's heart?

[Duke]

. . . . . [ A blank stare. ]

He is of Brave Vesperia. His Aer flow is odd. [ A long pause. ] I returned his body. [ a slightly curious look. ] You know of it.

[Yeager]

I did hear of his latest affiliation. Silly of him, I think, to switch from a good position in Altosk to that. [sighs, shakes his head] Ja, I know of it. What do you mean, you returned his body? At Temza?

[Duke]

. . . . . [Duke has no comment about Guild business. He doesn't.. particularly care, really. Well, Brave Vesperia does spark his interest occasionally, if only for what they'd done, and whether they'd change for the worse. ]

. . . . Yes.

[Yeager]

Oh. And what were you doing at Temza at that time?

[Duke]

. . . . . Warning. The knights did not wish to leave.

[Yeager]

[And something about that jogged his memory a bit. Hmmm.]

...Come to think of it, you do look familiar. Though that was a long time ago.

[Duke]

. . . . A knight? [ A slightly curious head-tilt. ]

[Yeager]

You were a knight, weren't you? I was one myself, and I seem to recall seeing you around.

[Duke]

. . . . . Once. [ Perhaps a tiny bit... bitter? And looking back at the glowing tree now. ]
